Research Atlas Insights

Explore the people, projects, scientific perspectives and resources shaping disinformation research. Follow a topic to its researchers, compare approaches, or inspect how the recorded projects have developed over time.

These views read the latest published entries in our Research Atlas. Explore topics and networks · Compare disciplines and methods · Follow project starts.

Use the controls above to switch to a network, comparison or timeline. “Topics”, “Disciplines” and “Methods” explore the research content; “Resource types” and “Resource access conditions” help you locate materials to inspect and reuse where permitted. “Institution countries” describes affiliations, while “Areas studied” describes research coverage when supplied.

How disciplines and methods intersect

Select a nonzero cell to inspect its entries. Counts represent recorded combinations, not the relative size or quality of an entire discipline. Entries can contain several labels, so cell totals cannot be added. Missing metadata and display limits are disclosed by each view.

When recorded projects began

The timeline uses project start years, including future starts where recorded. It is not a publication timeline, a measure of funding or a count of projects active in each year. Undated projects are disclosed rather than assigned an invented date.

Read the landscape with its sources and limits

This community-led Atlas is a growing directory, not an exhaustive census. Topics, disciplines, methods and resources are now available for exploration, with varying coverage. Some labels contain several terms separated by semicolons and remain combined as recorded; synonyms and labels have not been consolidated into a standard taxonomy. Networks link entries to shared recorded labels rather than verifying collaboration.

Listed resources may be planned, restricted or described through catalogue and repository pages. Access descriptions do not establish a licence. Release dates retain their documented precision, and unknown licences stay unspecified. Inspect the source links in each entry before drawing conclusions or reusing a resource.

Help make the next connection possible. Add or update your topics, methods, resource links and collaboration interests. Collaboration offers and needs are not yet recorded in the current Atlas; completing those fields will help others find complementary expertise. Thank you for contributing to this shared resource.
